When we hear from a prospective client we take the time to understand what it is you require, your thoughts and wishes for the design, and advise on the range of possibilities open to you.
After initial contact we offer a free site survey (subject to order), where we will send out a member of staff to assess the site and the design possibilities.
Already have a project in mind?
Once you decide to go ahead, your project is passed to a member of our design team who will use the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce two-dimensional plans, elevations and sections and three-dimensional models to help you understand your future building.
The design phase is a time where we encourage our clients to interact fully with us to produce something that not only we can be proud of, but so can you. This is the time to iron out all the issues with the oak frame such as beam sizes, span issues, loading, and choice of materials. This avoids costly changes further down the line.
Where Kingspan Tek panels are required the design process is the same, with attention to detail to ensure the whole kit fits as per the drawings. These drawings will require your written approval.
Once written approval has been given on the drawings our CAD team add the mortise and tenon joints to the 3D model and prepare it to send for manufacture. This is the stage where the high quality oak is carefully sourced, planed and machined.
The oak is delivered to site in kit form, accompanied by a numbered drawing relating to the tags on each piece of oak. Our skilled carpenters then begin the process of erecting the oak frame using traditional methods including oak pegs that hold the mortise and tenon joints together.
